What Would I Do Without God in My Life?
"As I sit in my cell I ask myself, 'What would I do without God in my life?'"
This testimony is from John's friend, Dean Sr. who was locked up when he wrote this. God continues to work in strange, yet huge ways through this ministry. Read a little more and you'll get a taste of what God has been doing through John & Dean's story.
LETTER FROM DEAN SR.
Now one might ask what made you want to give your life to the Lord. Was it because you're locked up and you think he'll let you out if you say what you think he wants to hear? Or was it, I still want to live in my sinful ways but I want to go to heaven? And the truth is my heart is changed and that it's God's love for me that made me want to give Him all of me. Mind, body and soul.
JOHN DIDN'T KNOW ME FROM A CAN OF PAINT, BUT GOD TOLD HIM TO SEEK ME OUT AND BRING ME TO HIM
God gave me this message and that message came through John. John didn't know me from a can of paint, but God told him to seek me out and bring me to Him. It took some time for John to reach me but the power of the Lord is strong. He didn't let up until he found me, as in ask my name and tell me that we should talk. I thank God for sending John in my life, for so many reasons but the the best part about God's love...He gives you people that care so much that they want you to love the Lord first, and then your family second. Well, I am here to tell you that I love the Lord and now I have another brother and his name is John...I just want to thank you for being there for me John when I was at a low place in my life and for loving and caring for me when it was dark in my world. You showed me the light and for that I shall always love you bro.

Sometimes it's almost an unreal feeling to experience God's love, grace, and forgiveness. That's what the inmates we work with experience through our ministry. That's the message we bring to the prisons we visit each week.
